IGAD and Partners launches a regional learning pack for tackling food Crisis

The food insecurity and mulnitrition affecting communities in the Northern region needs an argent attention.
The IGAD member states has said this crisis need a long term solutions therefore, there’s a need to be faster a policy recommendation.
Speaking during the launch of LeNNS,learning Network on Nutrition Surveillance in Nairobi with the support of the USAID,Dr. Patrick Amoth, Director General Ministry of health Kenya, said LeNNS will promote the generations of timely information and evidence and improve on how the information is used to inform effective policies and strategy program across the region.

The LeNNS is a regional opportunity to map the countries and institutions actions in nutrition survialence that will help develop an understanding of the need for nutrition survialence.
“Malnutrition and food insecurity pose a major threat to global and regional social and economic development,” Said John Kuehnle , USAID health Director.
