The Secretary General of Quarry and Mine Workers Union Wafula Wa Musamia has challenged all of us Kenyans to remember the true meaning of Labor Day and it’s significance.
Wafula Wa Musamia notes
“There is need for us remember the true meaning of Labour Day . In the 1890s workers in the factories and workplaces did not have regulated working conditions. They were working as many as 18 hours a day that is when the workers revolution took place in Philadelphia US .That was the beginning of the regulation of workers terms and conditions of employment hence the birth of Labour Day OGW”
