The fact that we are facing the Shakahola Cult saga is a good reason to say that the law is not clear on the extent of the freedom of religion. The respective law should be Amended so as to draw the boundaries on the extent of religion.
The government can remedy the extremists who hide on the name of religion because it has been doing it with Islamist extremists. Why not with other religions?
Parliament should enact Regulations to cushion Kenyans from unscrupulous preachers; that is not every Dick and Harry can be a preacher or can open a Church. Let there be standards of identifying upcoming preachers and Churches. We cannot afford to witness another Shakahola, never.
