Epic Business Tours is Kenya’s leading company that has been providing Kenyan businessmen with the leverage to explore and exploit the vibrancy of China’s business landscape.
George Mbogo is the founder and managing director of Epic Business Tours and in an interview he shares with us his insights on the upcoming Canton Fair.
The Canton Fair is the pinnacle of international trade events, boasting an impressive history and staggering scale. Exhibiting a vast array of products, it attracts buyers from all over the world and has generated immense business dealings in China.
The enormous size and scope of the Canton Fair is a biannual event for almost everything import and export with China. More than 25000 exhibitors come from all over the world to attend this twice-yearly market in Guangzhou China.
“This is a golden opportunity for buyers to meet Chinese suppliers. This comes with a lot of advantages ranging from an opportunity to choose from a wide variety, better prices and a new learning experience,” Mr. Mbogo said.
“its also a momentous occasion whereby our business people can get to learn about manufacturing and that with just as little as Ksh 300,000 you can buy a steel wool manufacturing machine
This is so much so because China is where it is today because of investing in cottage industries.”
Mr. Mbogo was also particularly thankful for the Government of his excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, our president for the phenomenal steps he has taken to create ease of doing business and being emphatic on the importance of manufacturing as a pillar that will spur economic growth.
On the same vein, a trader Mr Harrison Njogu who deals with mobile phone spare parts called upon fellow entrepreneurs to grab this opportunity and explore China.
Mr. Harrison initially used to buy phone spares from Luthuli but after being carefully guided by Epic Business Tours he now sources them direct from China which he says gives him both variety and value.
