Thursday, 3rd August 2023 at 9:00am — In Kamandura Primary school, During the contract signing, site handover to the contractor and groundbreaking of the food4education kitchen that will be used to feed 11,000 Plus pupils, from Primary schools within Limuru Constituency at a subsidized cost of 15shillings per day. The tap to eat digital technology watch will be used to ensure children are served efficiently and effectively, without any bottlenecks.
Limuru NG – CDF where I am the Patron, will fully fund the infrastructure works of the kitchen while our partners — food4education, will come in for the other logistics.
The contractor will commence with the kitchen setup works as from tommorrow, 4th August 2023. I urged him to observe the three months time frame stipulated in the contract and moreso ensure that the local community is considered in providing labour.
I will fast track this project to ensure our children benefit as soon as possible and moreso look for more sponsers so that we can atleast have the daily charges of 15 shillings drop.
Present were: Food for Education representatives, Limuru NG – CDF Office, Limuru Constituency Office, Public works office and Procurement office.
