Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Passaris has called for an end to the discrimination and profiling of the LGBTQ community in the country.
Speaking at Serena hotel, Passaris lamented her counterpart from Nyali Mohammed Ali’s call for the extermination of that community, terming such a move illegal..
“Our penal code has no provisions for such. Respect for life is paramount and enshrined in our Constitution and all of us must endeavour to defend that,” Hon Passaris observed
She added,
“Such a move is criminal. Christians are bound by the commandments to love thy neighbour and thought shall not kill. This has been intimated by His Eminence Pope Francis who said the community should feel welcomed by the church.”
